Even as I type, I am still in awe of that fact... It's actually a song by Third day called "Cry Out To Jesus".. Today has been insane and wonderful.. My amazing husband woke me up early to see the snow falling so beautifully outside.. I stayed snuggled under my pile of blankets and welcomed the day with a smile on my face and a song in my heart, thanking God for all of it.. I owe Him everything, I know that, and yet He continues to bless me so graciously, even as I feel that my cup runneth over.. By 11am I decide it's time to crawl out from under my comfy, safe, little world.. Today was the Daytona 500 and I didn't want to miss a minute of it.. I was very happy that I decided to check out the pre-race stuff, because it was just starting when I turned on the tv.. Wow, another blessing.. I don't have to miss any of it!! The race didn't start till noon.. Who would have guessed that this race would make the record books as the longest race in Daytona history, at a whopping 6 hrs and 10 minutes!!! And we watched every bit of it.. Ya, what rednecks.. Haha!! Anyway, after I finally wandered out to the kitchen, there sits a card, a bouquet of roses, and a box of dark chocolates.. Yummmm!!!! My hubby loves me.. So, here we sit, hanging out on the couch, watching the race, with me aggravating him at every opportunity.. I thrive under such conditions you know.. He loves it but wouldn't dare admit it.. It's his ability to stay serious when I'm in the floor laughing that makes it work so wonderfully... The harder I have to work for him to crack any hint of a smile, the funnier it gets, and the more determined I become to get to him.. I eventually win.. :)
Rough draft...
