So, Hoda Kotb was scolding ppl for laughing at videos of other ppl falling, tripping, etc.. Then she tells about a video of an older lady, who did not get hurt btw, falling UP an escalator.. At the time she felt awful for the lady but in trying to tell the story she got very, very tickled.. All I could think of was Missy, falling up an escalator once.. If you've never heard the story, you must make her tell it.. ;)
I am headed home with much more than I came with.. Strep throat is probably at the top of the list.. In spite of all the sickness, and being wore the heck out, it was a wonderful week-end.. Dinner yesterday was a "fantastic day" as my dad put it, even though I cried all day.. Tis the season for Susan to cry till New Years.. ;(

Dear knock me to my knees jolts of pain in my low back... I am breaking up w you... Please don't make this harder than it is... Just go quietly and save me having to get a restraining order on you... Dear computer... Oh how I've missed you!!! I don't last long but every day it will get a bit easier... And just WOW!!!! I forgot how big pics are on here!!!! I thought my iPhone screen was huge after the BlackBerry, then I sat down at a 22" screen... I get to listen to my Playlist again too!!!! YAY!!! Thank you God for getting me through this... Ok Peeps, I've requested prayer for Steph's dog, and I think Frosty too, but Frosty needs some serious prayer... He's barely walking, Steven is bawling, and we're all freaking out.... There's a huge connection between those two... It's the horse he started his rodeo career on.. My heart is heavy and I'm begging you for a prayer or two... There is so much power in prayer... Sweet Jesus please be w us... ;)
Still not a big fan of these mammoth muscle spasms, but I must admit they have lost a ton of their muscle since I started taking my pain meds regularly.... The burn across the low back sends me running for my bed... Again, my own fault.. Only happens when I sit like a bozo... Would I have this surgery again??? ABSOLUTELY!! Ok, I had my 2 wk post op.. Told this was a very serious surgery & can expect a grand total of $325,000.00... Good call Toni!! They were blown away when I came be-bopping down the hall.. I am proud to report that he has NEVER had a patient 2 wks out doing this great!!! Yay!!! I was also told to cool it on the no pain med heroics... Ok, I can deal with that for a little while longer... Thank you God!!!

Grrrr!!! Ok, I'll try to finish this before posting.. Anyway, the cost of that surgery just from the hospital??? Are you ready for this?? 123,791.05!!!! Good grief what in the heck did they do?? Take a small vacation while I was under?? To Japan??? THANK YOU GOD FOR INS!!! Does this sound insane to anyone else??? Wow!!!! I am in shock... Lol!! :)

Emberlynn let go of the pool ladder and sank.. Kim went across the deck and jumped in that way and Steph already had her out.. Kim took the shortest route and Steph still beat her!! I could hear her in the background saying, "Aunt Nini, you sabed my wife!!" Thank you God for keeping her safe until she was rescued...

Susan Spicer Mason Thank you God... Repeatedly.... Steph did the same thing 21 yrs ago at an inground pool... I had her out immediately and she was gasping for air while patting me on the back like crazy.. Kim said Emberlynn did the same thing to Steph today!! That's just wild... Neither child cried.... Both got right back in the pool with a bit more respect for the water... Praise God for protecting our babies...

Kimberlee Dalton Hull The 5 seconds that it took place in seemed like an etertity. They have never been allowed by the pool unless we are out there, even Steven and Jazz and they are 9, that right there is excatly why you NEVER let kids swim with out adults. Super scary for us, still dont know how Steph beat me and poor Bub he tried so hard to get to her also, I think NiNi grew wings. Pretty sure her feet never hit the ground. Thank you Jesus for having an angel there with us.

I love my Hubby so much!!! He has been unpacking boxes non stop since last week-end... Feels really weird to just lay here and watch the house come together... He made yummy BLT's for supper... He does not like doing dishes so all I have to do is mention that if I had a sink full of hot soapy water I would do them.. Barely get the suggestion out of my mouth before he tells me it's there!!! Lol!! ;)
I always think I'll get on her higher than a kite and terrorize my oldest child... That doesn't seem to be working out at all... I have to back up constantly... This update so far has taken probably 5 mins... Then I just keep nodding off and dropping my phone... I've even been having to peek out of one eye cos. I can't uncross them.. Grrrr... Not very funny at all... ;(
What did the fish say when it hit the wall???? "DAM!!" baaahahahahahaha!!!! Just heard a guy out in the hall tell that... See??? I'm not the only one that finds humor in dam jokes and stories!!!
***Update #2*** I just talked to mom and she said that she is incredibly sore but doing so much better than expected! She is very much enjoying her pain pump! July 13, 2010 **UPDATE*** Hey everyone - my mom is out of surgery and now resting comfortably in the recovery room! The surgeon said that everything went well and all issues have been fixed! Thanks so much for all of your concern and prayers - our family greatly appreciates it! ♥ Emily
So, this is the big day.. The insane chain of events that have led up to this day could have been orchestrated by non other than my awesome God.. He knows exactly what He's doing and I have total faith in Him... Please Lord, don't let me wake up in the recovery room and be the terrorist I have been known to be following surgery.. I will have Missy update my status later today... I love all you peeps.. :)
Lost my mind about 2 days ago... If anyone finds it please bring it to me... You think I'm kidding??? Miss Emberlynn only moves in 2 speeds... 7,739,523 miles per second, or asleep... Steven can't stand when she tries to slow down so he instigates until she kicks it back in gear.. Takes me back 20 yrs when that was Missy's agenda... Ahhh, the good old days... They have come back to haunt me... ;)
So I just have to tell you this because only you will appreciate the humor! I ate like half a watermelon today (all by myself) and it took me about an hour of going to the bathroom every 15 minutes for me to realize why I was peeing so much! LOL

She ditched her car when we met the ambulance and rode with us, coaching me.. She was in the ER with me, and the first one to hold you.. Gma Jo was not happy about that!! haha!! Everyone else was on their way from Spfd where they had been waiting.. WOW!!
31 yrs ago I dove on my bed repeatedly yesterday, gently torpedoeing in air, landing softly on my back.. Chili 4 dinner.. Scolding myself now for eating anything spicy this close to delivery. It gave me a tummy ache.. The chili had nothing to do with it hurting.. I have unknowingly been in labor since last night.. Missy is getting geared up to make her move and it's going to be epic.. :)
